You'll have a good time. The crew told us that there are 10 or 12 flights that leave out of Provo within about a 3 hour period in the afternoon, and the airport gets really crowed.
Nitrox is the way to increase your dive time.
Most of the dives you can go as deep as you want or as deep as the nitrox's MOD will allow.
We got some of our best pictures staying on top of the reef.

Do I need to bring my O2 analyzer?

How about exposure protection? I usually dive with a shorty in warm waters. Thinking of getting a Sharkskin Chiilproof suit. It's about 1.5 mm, neutral buoyancy.

I used a 1mm wetsuit or just swimsuit. 84 was the coolest water temperature I saw.

Tell Brandt I said hello!

Pay attention to what others have said about the boat swinging in the current/wind. It swings more than any boat I've been on. Don't chase it. Plan for the swing in advance and let the boat come to you. If you miss it, wait - it'll be back in a few minutes... Just hang at ~ 15' and wait.

To paraphrase from Wayne Gretsky;

Don't swim to where the boat is... swim to where the boat is going.

Don't be like a certain idiot that shall go nameless and assume the big white hull is the Explorer - several times during the week the Aggressor rides on the next mooring over.

Although pretty obvious since it's generally opposite whatever island you're moored near - but when the boat moors go up on the flybridge and take a reference to the blue water. That can save you a considerable swim to the wall. Or like us sit up there an extra five minutes till everyone clears off the dive deck. We had a completely full boat and that's the only time it felt crowded - that and the drift dives since everyone assembles on the dive platform to splash together and get down fast.

If you're given any sort of choice on itinerary - IMO best to worst the diving is:

French Cay
West Caicos
NW Point off Provo

If they're still doing Friday dinner at Danny Buoys - they'll probably have a band also. There's a good sized bar area there. Or the Casino has free pickup - just ask a bartender. And they'll even drive you all the way back to the Explorer for free - although I tipped the driver something.
