Hey all,

We are an experienced IDC Staff Instructor and professional videographer couple that are currently working in beautiful Costa Rica. We are looking for short or long-term employment and are ready to take on another remote location. If you have any opportunities for a couple, we hope you will consider us.

We spent a year working on the Great Barrier Reef, and during our time there Gina was promoted to operations manager after only 3 months of working at Heron Island Resort. While working as operations manager she was in charge of the day to day operations of the resort shop. She is extremely organized, quick to take on extra responsibilities, and very computer savvy. Guy tends to take on more of the physical tasks such as boat and shop maintenance. Guy is also very keen to learn more skills with boats, and hopes to get his Captains license soon. We are both interested in expanding our skill sets to all aspects of running a dive shop in a resort setting. Working on Lizard Island in Australia, we became comfortable in 5-star customer service setting and strived to exceed all guest expectations. Being up to date with PADI membership, professional liability insurance and first aid certifications we are ready to instruct.

Prior to our year in Australia, we were working in Costa Rica (where we are currently based again) where our duties include: instructing, guiding, sales, equipment repair (Aqualung mostly), running a compressor and all other daily operations of a 5-star IDC resort dive shop. We are both trained Deptherapy Instructors (capable of teaching people with a wide-range of disabilities and impairments). We are not fluent in other languages but understand, and can communicate basically in Spanish.

Gina is a professional underwater videographer and photographer with a strong background in social media marketing and website design. We both have all our own dive equipment and Gina owns a complete set of professional camera equipment. We are both very involved in marine conservation training. If you would like to speak to us further about our qualifications, strengths and weaknesses please contact us.

You may be aware that Hawaii is considering banning products that contain oxybenzone ... an ingredient found in over 3500 products including SPF Sun Protection lotions and sprays, proven to have negative health effects and to be destructive to our reef systems. Some have forecast that other states will soon follow suit.
