I am an experienced diver looking to get back into the Technical realm of our sport. I have done some deep stuff as well as cavern and cave but have been out of the game for a while due to military obligations. I have now gained a bit of time and am looking for a solid instructor to re-learn a few things. I am in the Virginia Beach area. I am a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, looged over 2500 dives andhave dived all over the world. I have been looking at the DIR methods but am open to any new ideas. Ready to go deeper and explore caves! Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, Scott.

Hi and welcome to the Matrix, lol
VA beach Tech is where I would look first. It is a very active regional club, doing tech dives in your location. You can prolly troll them up in the mid atlantic section in the regionals for contact info.

Welcome to the hood Scott. In our area there is not a lot of dive support for tech divers and no year round charter boats in the area other than LDC's boat, the Miss Lindsey and all they do is cater to the newbie diver.

UnderPressure with Capt JT is the only boat that does deep dives here and in Hatteras. He runs the boat out of Portsmith and charters in the early spring and late fall here and in Hatteras from May until he gets ran out of Hatteras due to weather (hurricanes).

I use Dive Quarters for fills and Matt is the lead instructor, a caver and just a good guy. Very good diver/instructor, does the dives we like and a good place to start for information.

Bill Ripleys VB tech is a facebook only club and unfortunately for me, I don't do FB.

I would contact JT and bend his ear. He is VERY well connected to the tech diving community and knows pretty much everyone who is anyone in our region.

I am local and if I can help with anything, give me a shout.
