We're at it again with our annual dive week at Hitra, Norway. We're closing the shop for an escape to our island and you're welcome to take part in our little diving vacation.

Dates: October 14. - 20. 2006

First of all, Hitra is world class nature diving. Just Google it, and you'll see... We'r doing currents (drop off - pick up), cliffs, kelp beds, underwater canyons and even a cave(!). -And we do have one or two wrecks for you up the sleave, since you can't live without some rust on your gear...

The marine life in these northern waters is tremendous. October usually provide excellent viz (20-40 metres), and water temps of around 12C. Air temps may vary from 0 - 20C, so you better come a bit prepared. We do dry suit diving only. If you're into uw-photo, Hitra is heaven! Wireless broadband internet connection is available on site.

We can provide lead and new steel tanks for rent to a few divers at a modest fee. But most of our guests bring their own gear. Do not forget a good lamp! We do night dives almost every night. -An incredible experience in these waters! Nitrox will be available (extra charge) but you may well do all dives on air, since we're mostly doing multi level dives with max depths 18-30 metres.

Our trip usually starts in Oslo, with an 8 hour busride to the west coast. But it is a social bus ride with some grand scenery on the way, and we're looking at 5 full days of diving so it's worth it! And if you haven't seen a moose or a deer before, you will! The transportation Oslo-Hitra-Oslo is included. We do not have hidden fees or extras along the way. If you come a long way by plane we'll pick you up at the airport (Gardermoen), and you can stay with us in our home if the cheap plane tickets makes you early or late for our bus. :coffee:

This is a social dive trip. You are expected to join and get to know us and the rest of the participants, and we share our meals together as well. But we do have separate bedrooms for all! :D -With room for two persons in comfortable hotel beds. You will share bathrooms and showers with a few others. Accomodations really leaves nothing to desire, unless you're Paris Hilton or Madonna... We have three new houses on the pier at our disposal. each with 4 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sauna, modern kitchen facilities, laundry and freezers for your catch of scallops.

You will have to get to Oslo Train Station, the airport, or to our home in Hedmark County (1 hour north of Oslo and 35 minutes from the airport.) on your own. Either by car, train, ferry or by plane.

The TOTAL price for the rest of the trip is NOK 3.790,- ( = Euro 470,-). this includes transportation to Hitra, accomodations, guided boat diving, air fills and one large meal at arrival. If you put in another Euro 60,- it will most likely get you through the week with good food split with the others. Then eventually sodas, snacks, beer or wine is available in local stores at your own expense. -And a burger stop on the way to and from with the bus is usually a good investment!

Maximum number of participants (divers) is 16. You may of course also bring your non-diving spouse or friend for a modest fee! There's plenty of rooms. PADI OW or equivalent is plenty good enough, except you need some dry suit experience up here.
