This week is promises to be a memorable one for everyone interested in artificial reefing, SCUBA diving, and the Ships to Reefs Revolution! The USNS Vandenberg is scheduled to be reefed on Wednesday, May 27th in Key West, Florida. This project has been a long time in the works, and certainly not without its share of growing pains. However, the successful reefing of the Vandenberg will be a huge step in creating a great new dive attraction for the Florida keys, and a new environment for marine creatures in the area.

Here in Southern California we have an exciting week ahead as well, as it is less than seven days until the 2009 SCUBA Show and Casino Night event! Lots of preparations have been underway to make this the most successful evening yet. There are certainly more than just a couple of great reasons to attend this year's Casino Night event. Whether it is the adrenalin of the Vegas-style gaming tables, the wonderful 2-week dive resort vacation in Indonesia door prize, the silent auction, or just the prospect of helping to foster the creation of new artificial reefs like the Vandenberg in California, there is sure to be something happening to please all attendees.

Tickets for Casino Night are still available at the California Ships to Reefs website (California Ships to Reefs, Inc. - Home), and will also be available at the CSTR booth at the SCUBA Show. Be sure to stop by and learn about current projects that we have in work for the California coast, and learn how you can be a part of the Ships to Reefs Revolution!!!
