Hi folks!

I just signed up for this board, in the hope, finding some buddies here. I come from Autria, Europe and am now for a long while here in the upstates in SC. At home I was a passionate diver, doing it every weekend in one of our crystall clear deep alpine lakes. I miss them here, but what i miss more, some buddies as I had them at home. It really sucks, having all the equipment here, the weather looks fine and I cant go, just because the only buddy I know here, has to share his time with his family. I am open to and experienced in anything, beginning from shallow fun dives around 60 feet till deep diving up to 300 feet, including technical and trimix and all that stuff. So whether u r a novice or a real dive freak and live near Clemson, SC, leave me a message, that would be great!

In the case somebody of you knows a better place to find buddies in my area, please let me know, thanks!

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

You're in the right place!

Check out our Deep Dixie Divers forum to find out what's going on in your local area and to find lots of buddies.

Dive safe!

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Welcome! A great place to be. You will probably find a dive buddy here before you read this post. Divers paradise.
If the whole world was Scuba Board, would the ? would be easier.

you should be able to find a buddy within minutes...

I agree. I am in the same situation as you (except the part about being from Europe.....)

But I have found many dive buddies right here on scubaoard simply by going to the Local Dive Club Section.

and of course if you are ever down here in Florida give me a call

Dive Safe,

:sunny Hi there! My name is Matt. Welcome to Scuba Board! I came here looking for help with my diving dream. I’ve met a lot of nice divers and many helpful divers too. I think you will get the information you need from SB. I look forward to reading more of your posts about your diving adventures. If you’d like to chat, please PM me.
I am looking forward to seeing you some more around the boards!

Howdy!

I just want to join the others in welcoming you to SB. Hope to get to know you around the forums. How far are you from North Carolina? You might check get to know the locals on that club forum, too. I'll be going out on the Diver Down from Morehead/Atlantic City Oct 1-3, and I'd certainly love to have you on my boat. I think we have some hotel and boat space left? It's festival weekend.

It's gonna' be a little quite around here for a few days, as our Florida friends hunker down to hide from a big storm, :sofa: then get their electricty going again, and many other members enjoy the holiday weekend. I'm In Ontario to dive the St.L myself, but I brought my laptop with me.

Completing your Profile and seperately - keeping your Dive Info up to date helps in future diving instructions. PM me if I can help you learn your way around.
