Etobicoke Olympium

Someone told me that there is or was a night during the week that the Etobicoke Olympium allowed divers to go in to practice and work on thier skills.
Is this true or is there another place to go? What does it cost?
Please let me know.

The Etobicoke Olympium is open to divers via Aqua Systems Scuba on Tuesday nights.

The pool is open from 9:00 until 11:00 and arrangements may be made to attend (if gear is required they will rent it), by calling the store (905) 277-8881.

I know that the Olympium was close for some repair work and I am unaware if they have re-opened however Tuesday night is the night. Cost to enter is about $10-12.

Any questions call the store and speak to Paul or Norm. They will answer any questions.

Also available on Thursday nights by joining the OUE (which also includes membership in the OUC) http://members.rogers.com/aldv/website/ If you want to go regularly, this is the lower cost route. $60 a year membership includes the pool. It's a fair walk from the parking area to the pool, so a roller bag is recommended You can enter well before pool time and get geared up. You have exactly 1 hour and about 20 minutes to get off the pool deck. Turnout varies, usually 8 to 10 divers in the pool, that many more who show up to chat and a group usually head out to a local watering hole after for more conversation. I just wish it was closer to where I live.

The pool IS currently closed for repairs, expectred to re-open in Novemeber. OUE membership is calender year, so I'd wait and join in January.
