Ethical Question?

Guys, he's not asking whether he should cancel his order with the LDS and buy it from the big box store instead. He's asking if he should buy one from the big box store now, use it, and when the LDS delivers the one he originally ordered, return that one unopened to the big box store for a refund.

Your suggestion is underhanded. Just buy it from the big name store because you need it now, and the LDS doesn't have it now, rather than doing something that is kind of shady.

You can support your LDS later in other ways.

IMHO (not saying anyone else is wrong at all) but my integrity is worth more than a camera.

I would personally feel like I'm cheating someone by doing an underhanded return like that. I wouldn't look down on someone who did what the OP is talking about, I wouldn't treat them any differently, but I personally wouldn't do it.

The good news the LDS got their shipment in today, the bad news is they got 6 white units. He said they didn't order any white units

They were supposed to get their cameras in last week, though the shipping company lost the order.

I love my LDS, they also have a better deal than the big box store. They are throwing in a free snap on filter. I am wanting the camera though I don't know if my want to use it in Belize is greater than my want to buy it at a little higher price w/o a magenta filter. If I don't buy it for this trip then I will also be returning the 32GB mem card I bought from the said big box store.

why does it have to be black?

It's not the color of the case. Different models with different capabilities are labeled "White" "Silver" or "Black" Editions. The white/silver models are mostly reworked versions of existing Hero cameras. The Black is the only one with a completely new sensor and image/video improvements.

Do Go Pros have serial numbers? That would make you look pretty stupid if they do.

So I have an ethical question, regarding a purchase of a GoPro.

I love to support my LDS, though they have not got their shipment of Black GoPros . The LDs is even throwing in some extras if I buy a GoPro from them.

The problem is I leave for Belize tomorrow at 6am. I already purchased a Cyan filter for the Hero3 and a 32GB Class MicroSD card (got the card from the Big box store).
