Cash goes in your pocket, all the stores accept wet cash.

Personally, I've started bringing some extra stuff with me, like packets of mayo (I only like one kind and hate buying a big bottle and it going to waste!), mints & snacks (I like Riesens, I bring 2 bags & throw them in the fridge), that kind of thing. I also bring Mosquit-No bands to combat the flying teeth if they're in season.

First day on the island I get a case of bottled water. Don't throw away your empties. Fill them from the tap and freeze them, when you go dive bring a few frozen bottles. They'll thaw while you dive and you'll have nice cold water to drink when you get back to the truck. I also bring a big bottle of warm water to rinse off with when I get back to the truck.

Have fun!!

@hroark2112, I was surprised at how good the tap water was. We did the same thing. I wish I had just brought a couple of water bottles to fill each night for the next day.

Best water I found in Bonaire is at Captain Dons. The water in the cooler next to the dive entrance is so good!!

That’s where we stayed, and the tap was just as good as the cooler.

I take a big foldable cube container for water. After sitting in the truck the water warms up and you can rinse off after your dive. So far the container has remained with the truck.

I carry cash and my truck key in an otter box. Merchants and restaurants will accept damp cash without any protest.

I have sometimes taken a small dull colored soft sided cooler. I put by the tire under the truck and scoop some small rocks around it. You can even hide stuff away from the truck at the southern sites, if no one is around. The northern sites have too much cover and could be monitored from the scrub.
