Essentials is designed to cultivate the essential techniques required by all sound diving practices, irrespective of level or environment. Essentials of Recreational Diving acts as a bridge between conventional training and UTDs more demanding curriculum.
The course brings any certified diver the skills and understanding required of the more advanced UTD courses, focusing on precise buoyancy control, dive planning, ascent procedures, safety, and environmental awareness.
Course will be conducted in 2 weekend format with schedule as follows:
6/26/10 8am-6pm - lectures, gear fitting, dry runs (location TBA at Irvine, CA)
7/10/10 8am-6pm - dives at Laguna Beach, video debrief and lectures at Irvine, CA)
7/11/10 8am-6pm - dives at Laguna Beach, video debrief and final evaluation at Irvine, CA)
