Has anyone had any first hand experience diving Escudo de Veraguas off the Panama coast? I've had friends tell me that the reefs look awesome (although they were only snorkeling, not diving), that viz was 100' plus, and that topside it looks more like Palau than somewhere in the Caribbean. From what I understand, sea conditions preclude diving this island for most of the year, but that in September and October it is generally flat calm. After finding some limited info on the internet, I am interested in running some trips out there next fall, but I would love to hear some first hand accounts of the diving.
