Yeh, I didn't think so. I heard they were going to rebuild, then I heard they weren't, then I heard they were...and since I haven't been over there, I wasn't sure of the status.

Thank you Christi and Gordon! I appreciate it... terribly sad about Ernestos though - that was probably one of the best lunches I've ever had in my life, although it could have been the atmosphere, the company and the beer talking...

Please keep me updated if anything changes!
Thank you!
Lauren

This question goes out to the locals or frequent visitors to the island.... Ernestos fajitas were very good IMO. What would be a comparible restraunt with like food and atmosphere etc.

Actually, La Choza has excellent fajitas as does the Mission on 30th.

I agree Christi!! We always liked Ernestos for breakfast actually.

Bob Marleys is the last bar on the south end of the east side right? It was open when we were there on Sunday. We didn't stop in just parked there and walked out to the water to look for shells. I think I have some pictures of it.... still have to go thru them all and get them off the memory cards.

Which side of the road was it on? If it was across the road from the water, that's not Marley's, that's Rasta's. If it was on the same side of the road as the water, I am amazed. On Jan 13th when we drove by it, all that was there was one standing wall, a couple of posts, and the framework of the foundation.
