Looks wierd to me. Whats that hose going from the mask to the ear piece?

Models look nice though.............

Supposedly it makes your ears, and facemask one closed circut..

The tubes extend out to your fase mask.. When you equalize your mask, it sends air into your ears, and equalizes them at the same time.

its supposed to be easier than equalizing with water in your ears.

But I'm not sure.

anyone else know about it?

I would not waste my time or money on the mask. The only thing I have seen or heard about that works are Doc's Pro Plugs. Free divers have used them down hundreds of feet. They have a vented version, and user claim it is easier for them to equalize. Do not use the solid version. Do a search on Yahoo for Docs Pro Plugs and I am sure you can find the info. They are about $10 a a set.

I bet thats a good seal around her ear.........

I dunno about ear muffs, but with that much hair under my mask it would leak like a seive!

No to mention I would look like cousin itt.

PS See what I mean about the models?

I used to have a lot of trouble equalizing too. Here's what I've learned.

1) Start practicing the day before you go diving. Do it several times. (Hold nose and blow or whatever method you use.) This seems to loosen up my estuation tubes.

2) Equalize before you start descending and continue to do it every couple of feet on the way down.

3) If you feel pressure (don’t wait until it's pain), stop and go up just a little. Equalize again.

4) The deeper you get the less you often you have to equalize. ie. Between 0 and 15 feet I might have to equalize 10 times, between 15 and 30 it might be 5. This is because the relative pressure difference is less.

5) Do not continue to descend if you feel pain, until you have equalized. I met a guy who went deaf doing this and had to have his eardrums replaced. (I didn’t even know they could do that before I met him.)

I'm one of those that have problems eq-ing. Blowing and swallowing doesn't do it for me (no pun intended). What I found that works great for me is biting down on the mouth piece really hard. Of course you have to get one of those custom fitted mouth piece.

Hey i'm 13 and just finished open water. I also had a very hard time equilizing. The importent thing is to be calm and like everyone said go down slowly.

Also my instructer recomended "Sudefed." It is an over the
counter sinus crearing medication. It worked great you should
try it. Good Luck!

My advice is that you try equalizing a little sooner because I had that problem to, but Then I started equalizing a little sooner and then I could equalize.

p.s. good luck on your certifacation dive:thumb:
