Any suggestions or comments on the Epoque Strobes specifically the ES-230DS...

Websites show that it has good recycle, good angle of flash etc...

Just want to know what anyone thinks

Thanks

John,
I have this strobe and use it with my back-up camera Oly SP-350. Compared with my other strobe Inon D-2000 type 3, I can't say this strobe has good recycle and good angle. Claim as GN23 but with narrow beam and the lighting more concentrated in middle practically the supplied diffuser must be used. The actual GN w/ difuser will be much lower.
However, for the cost less than USD 350 including flex arm and tray - it is a good value product for whom limited budget. Small footprint, well made though not as solid as D-2000.
The following pictures are taken with SP-350 w/ ES-239, first from approx. 10 cm and the second from approx. 1 m. The strobe work well in auto and manual but I always prefer in full manual.
