Here are a few images shot with the above camera, the Oly housing, Zen port, the 9-18 lens and an Inon 2000 flash. currents were strong and a lot of junk in the water but for my first pictures i am pretty happy with the kit. I had a small leak with the flat port which I am still investigating so there are no macro shots. Three of the images were cropped on my tablet and the files are small. Nice shots...But OOOOOH my heart stopped for a second on the line "I had a small leak......What happened?

nice.

Not sure. After the dive there were a few drops of water inside the housing and the dessicant packs were wet. I was using the flat port for the first time and suspected that the port might be leaking I then dove the Zen port without a camera with no problems. Then I dove it with the camera without any problems I need to dive the housing with the flat port without a camera just to check it. Maybe I had a speck of dirt on one of the o rings.

I too have had a small leak. It came in through the zoom dial. IMHO it is not a good design. There s a plain hole and a simple o ring sitting inside that hole. If the fit is not perfect it's an easy leak path.
I actually suspected a leak at the delete push button but that should have occurred with either port as would a leak with the zoom dial. Either the flat port is leaking or I messed up. I am taking the camera in the ocean with the flat port tomorrow. I am diving in Saba on Wednesday. Hopefully everything works OK.

I am not that thrilled with the fit of the orings on the Oly flat port.....they a very loose and easy to "pinch" when you put it on. The Zen seems to fit a bit better. I haven't taken the time to measure them against each other to see if there is a difference. It doesn't seem like there should be but........

You definitely have a point. When you separate the flat port from the body the o rings do not always stay in place but this does not happen with the Zen port. I didnt dive with the flat port in Saba but I did take it into the bottom of an 8 foot pool and it was OK. I won't get to try it again until the summer. I may try taking it in a pool again before I dive it. However, I am beginning to think I had some dirt on one of the o rings.

I dove with an epl2 in saba a couple of months ago.
First day of diving I noticed water in the housing. I have a Zen 9-18 dome on my oly housing. Seemed to be too much for condensation. Couldn't tell where it came from. Removed, cleaned, greased the o-ring. I didn't see any real problems with it as I took it off. Then dove again with no camera in the housing. No water, all looked good. Dove the rest of the week with only doing Oring maintenance 2 more times and all was well.
I still don't know where the water came from. I was actively using the zoom control on my 9-18, so that wasn't a problem for me.
Really like the ergonomics of the housing and the epl2 is great.

A recent addition to my line of camera housing Leak Detector's are units for the Oly PT-EP01, PT-EP03 and PT-EP05L. Some piece of mind when diving with these housings as with any small leak, the water will often run forward in the housing and not be seen until enough water accumulates to touch the camera.... then its a problem !!!
