Hi All
I have strobe light, signal mirror, sausage, and air whistle, was looking at also getting anpersonell epirb, after searching the net found SEA MARSHALL make one to 100 mts for about 200 pounds...might seem overkill to sum but my biggest concern is being left/lost after drift dives, so if it saves me 1 time then the cost isnt the issue.
Q has any one got one, or know of any other brands around that suit divers.
will be in negril/ft lauderdale 24 may to 2 june diving cant wait.

dive safe

I have been looking at the McMurdo Fast Find Plus with there underwater housing. Its about the size of a coffee can. Could easly strap to the back side of a tank.

If you do a lot of drift dives off boats I would think it may be nice, cosomel type stuff.

Jay is building me a housing,

I thought I would throw it in an old cannister light housing, but no one has given me one yet. Even an obsolete camera housing would work.

We like having it on the boat for channel crossings....

we thought it would be a good idea because sometimes we dive and nobody is on the boat.

Yeah, I would find a good friend to tend the boat.
Nice thing about the Fast Find Plus is they make a case for diving. The case and EPIRB is about $700 US.

I've got the Sea Marshall. It's actually a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) rather then an actual EPIRB. It broadcasts on the distress homing frequency so in order for it to be any good someone has to be looking for you. Therefore it's very important that someone knows that you have it and on what frequency it broadcasts. Full EPIRBS are more expensive but broadcast a distress signal which (should) trigger a rescue even if nobody knows that you were in the water.
