Being relatively safety conscious and debating some dive trips where drift is the main style, I am looking into PLB or EPIRB units for my wife and I. Does anyone here have first hand experience with the units and have any recommendations?

The ACR Electronics ones are probably the most popular. I have a ResQLink and it tests fine. Never had to use it so I can't really give you a "works great" endorsement or anything.

I've carried a McMurdo Fastfind for several years. No complaints. Of course I've never actually used it.

iPhone. iTypo. iApologize.
