This was an epic trip me and my buddy made this summer, just packed our bags at the middle of night and drove for at least 10 hours. Remember to watch in full HD. Sorry for some bad filming and some bad editing (the movie became a bit too long), but it is my first diving movie so feel free to comment, like, share or whatever. If you have the opporunity to go there, DO IT!

The drive there was equally interesting to watch - I usually skip forward on videos with driving time-lapses.

What's the story behind this site?

Cool video Tormod. I'm also curious about the area. Looks like a village of some sort that was flooded and just the foundations are left.

Toooooo funnnnyyyyyyyy.

Who-ever had to go peee behind the sign just before the dive video footage starts..............Time Lapse Peeeee...........a Scuba Board First. :rofl3:

I'm curious about your KM per hour driving speed, and the time lapse interval? I'm guessing 5 seconds spacing between shots, or was it 10?

The driving effect was great on that fun looking twisting road...........would love to have my Porsche 911 over there..........but no, not it hauling dive gear.......

Care to share some of your Time Lapse settings?

CHEERS MATE!

Awesome video. BTW, someone should tell your buddy his trim is epically bad.

Awesome video, love the site it looks like your just floating through a village except for when your rather upright dive buddy gets into the frame.

I have heard of a few flooded towns within a few hours of my place but the vis is measured in centimeters and they are very deep too so not much point diving them, and there are no photos or videos anywhere as nobody has actually ever seen anything down there yet I think.

Did you see the snow on the side of the road? its still pretty cold plus they had dry-suits. Looks like they were doing all they could to warm the water before the dive, not sure of how effective the method was but hey its worth a try.:D

someone should tell your buddy his trim is epically bad.

A lighter knife might help.

If he dropped the knife he would shoot straight to the surface legs up I think, it would look kind of like the synchronized swimming at the Olympics with just his legs out of the water. :rofl3:

I was going to advise him to do the swim through first with the camera so he's not following a massive swirl of sediment. There are some great videos of this site on YouTube. Check out the one called Skooterdive, as it is really nicely done.
