I have a brother coming into town and we want to plan a dive. We have been thinking of going to Venice, we have not been there before. I am also considering Epcot instead because of location, but I feel $140 for one thirty minute dive is too much. For those who have been, is is worth it?

There are many reviews of the Dive Quest experience here if you search for those terms.

My wife and I did it about a year and a half ago and loved it. In fact, we are thinking of doing it again next January when our young neices and nephews will be on the other side of the glass.

I've asked about 15 people this same question. is it worth it?
the all said yes that they were thrilled with it.

The only negative comment I've seen was a few weren't really all that thrilled with the DVD that you can buy of them. Some of it seemed like "stock footage" from what they said (of other dive groups).

BTW... there are some discounts you can get for this dive, like 10% off or something for PADI and/or NAUI. I've got a jpeg coupon for it at home I could send (if I can find it) or you can download somewhere off the web.

It's fun, people watch you diving in the living seas in the observation area and restaurant. Call before you go and make sure the sharks and rays are in the aquarium. When I went they were doing some sort of water treatment that the rays and sharks were sensitive to so they were not in on our dive and we were a little dissapointed with that, but it was still fun.

My wife and I did a couple of weeks ago. I think it is worth it to do once. Especially if you are someone who just enjoys watching sealife. There is something to be said about doing a dive an not knowing what you are going to find, of course you don't get that aspect when diving EPCOT.

We bought the DVD because we had no one on the outside of the aquraium taking pictures. Prior to the dive itself there is about 5-7 minutes talking about Disney and their wildlife fund, this portion shows some stock footage. The footage of the dive itself was all our dive group. However I would say there was about 30 total seconds of us. There are just too many people to get everyone on the DVD for any extended period of time.

The dive is excellent, I bought the DVD but like most others here, I wasn't to impressed with it.

I did it a few months back and had a great time! DVD wasn't all great, but we got to preview it before we bought it. Best part was having my 3 yr old daughter watch me in complete awe on the other side of the glass. The sea life was neat as well. Huge turtles! Should at least do it once. Also, hook up with a diveshop and save some $.

From the DVD I saw, it had into stuff expected, "canned footage" of divers that looked like you, but if you paid attention you could tell they weren't in your group. (but it was hard to tell since they all had on the same gear and shortie wetsuit). Then a little footage of your group, then one-by-one, you entered into this "underater clear/plexi-glass air filled sphere and took off your mask, wiped the snot from your nose, looked to up the camera and said "hello" to whomever. Then some more footage of your group mixed in somehow with some stock footage, the credits and that was it. If it wasn't from the sphere, you'd had a hard time telling it was you on the dive.

totally worth it.
the dvd IS of you. not some other group but it's only like 10 minutes long.
i had a great time but probably wouldn't do it again

I thought the dive was a hoot.

Instead of (or in addition to) purchasing their DVD, have your family photograph you through the viewing area. The pics come out O.K., and you'll have fun posing underwater.
