Oceanographic and Marine Sciences firm is looking for field engineers and electronics technicians. Skills required, high mechanical and electronic aptitude, familiarity with troubleshooting and computer interfacing.

Position includes extensive travel in the continental U.S. and occasionally internationally as part of field teams supporting coastal sciences data collection programs. Installation, operating and servicing environmental monitoring systems – some projects involve SCUBA and/or surface supply diving. Typical project is one to three weeks, seven days a week. Office duties include calibration and maintenance of electronic and mechanical systems. D.O.T. medical required.

Exceptional candidates would have computer interface and operating system experience and extensive small boat operations profile including troubleshooting and repair of outboards and/or small engines, knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and welding skills.
