I must have injured my inner ear to some degree as I still have fluid around my ear drum. Had issues equalizing and more likely forced it.... That was over a week ago.
I have an appointment with my generalist who will refer me to an ENT but was hoping to see one that as more intimate knowledge with diving induced injuries.
I did look into DAN referrals without any luck
TIA

I saw Dr. Nathan Pierce in LA some years ago for sinus barotrauma and had a good outcome. He was referred by DAN. I'm not sure he is a "diving doc" since, when I mentioned the DAN referral, he inferred he had just signed up on their list as experienced in diving related issues, rather than having specific training, or interest, in diving. That said, he assessed my situation correctly and treatment (nasal rinses with budesanide) was successful. Yelp reviews are either 5 or 1 (love him or hate him). I did not have any invasive procedures performed so cannot comment on some of the negative reviews.

Thanks I looked him up.
Some reviews are a little scary...
My Local UCLA referral through my own insurance is not until August.
Will go see other ENT (from researching) before that and will post opinion once done for the next person in my shoes

hello Im also looking for a doctor in los angeles

I found this board and wanted to see If I can ask for a referral if you know anyone in southern california area

On 12/23 I flew with a sore throat and stuffy nose. Did not really pay attention upon arrival because it was 12am and I was exhausted but next day noticed fullness and muffelled/ low hearing in left hear.

I have a history of TMJ and Tinnitius in both ears. Anyways I went to Urgent Care on thursday the 25th as I realized something was wrong. Urgent Care doctor prescribed me Sudafed Sinus and also flonase. Immeditally with 1 spray of Sudafed Sinus my Eustachian Tube started to open up and within a few hours the fullness in the left ear was gone (so the pressure had adjusted). Problem is I do think their is hearing loss/some damage there are some other signs like clicking when swallowing but its been a few days and I can tell the hearing is off also the tinnitius is loulder in the ear then was previsouly. I am in Los Angeles Southern California and seeking a refererral to an ENT doctor who specalises Barotrauma issues.

Thank you happy new year

DUKE DIVE if you see this please message me thanks
