Enough with the hurricanes!

This is my house. It's not on the Delaware river, it's in the Delaware River. Yes, there is a basement under tere somewhere. This flood happened on my wedding day. As did the hurricane itself. Fortunately, we were able to get married on the beach and get inside before the storm that was the remnants of hurricane Ivan really hit. That was good. The flood wasn't. The claim amount on my flood insurance is still unknown, but I think it's gonna be a lot. Fortunately, my tenants are flexible, friendly and understanding. *sigh*

Well, I am still counting my blessings. At least we were able to get married on the beach as we planned, and my wedding was absolutely dreamy.

FWIW - I hope the next one waits a while ... I'm flying into Tampa in about 11 days (do they still have an airport?) ...

Sorry about your special day being dampened, but at least the you tied the knot! Isnt it good luck to have rain on your wedding day? Well done about getting hitched, things will work out with the house, insurance and possessions etc - just takes time.
