{Cue music) Do de doo doo, de do de doo doo, the Lionfish dies tonight! I just got through with two days of diving aboard Emerald Charters with Randy Jordan and it was a load of fun. On the first day I got to:
  • Learn how to kill Lionfish.
  • Eat Lionfish Sushi,
  • Shoot a Margate
  • Watch MsElenaous shoot her first fish (also a Margate)
  • Catch a couple of Bugs.
  • Catch a rod and reel.
  • Meet a bunch of friendly divers who caught a lot of fish and bugs.
  • Have more fun than I deserved.
  • Eat my catch as prepared by MsElenaous!

The second day I got to:
  • Dive with Rob Murphy.
  • See some cool reef structure and a ton of fighting conchs.
  • Dive with the lovely Mselenaous again. :D
  • Shoot more fish and catch more lobster.
  • Met even more cool divers.
  • Defended ScubaBoard's honor! :D

Randy and crew were laid back when it came to divers, but they were way serious when it came to meeting their needs and keeping things safe. It was a unique blend of fun, humility and situational awareness. The lunch he provides us with is GREAT. That was the best sandwich I have ever had. FWIW, I have never seen that many spear guns on a single boat. It was awesome!

We really need to thank Randy's girlfriend Tania, the chef at American Gourmet, for the awesome lunches. http://www.the-american-gourmet.com/

Though it was Randy, Sushi chef, who fed us all lionfish sashimi with soy and wasabi. Yum Yum!
