Does anyone have experience diving in these areas? I've been fishing at Quick's recently and the visibility is pretty good. Seems like a variety of spots would be good at slack water - Quick's, Robinson's, maybe Menemsha Bight. Can anyone recommend specific sites in the area?

when you figure out slack over on the Elizabeth's :) I've been fishing them for 15 years and have never been able to accurately predict slack. It's the only place I know that doesn't follow tide charts. One section appears to be "incoming" and another 1/2 mile away appears to be "outgoing". I plan on diving there this summer but think the only realistic way is to do a drift dive with a boat following us. If you do it, good luck and be careful.

Have you ever used it to predict the tides on the Elizabeth's and have you found them to be accurate?

The Elizabeth's don't follow ANY tide book, program, chart etc that I have found. Tarpaulin will be slack according to ALL the lists and Quick's will be WAY off (1 mile away).

Many times over many years. My dad (grand fathers, uncles, brothers) was a commercial fishermen and gave me some insight about how to use it.

along with over 30 years of boating, sailing etc has given me some insight too. Heck, my father has owned a company that builds saltwater fishing boats since I was 3 y/o. I had my own boat before I got a bicycle ;) I must be doing something wrong I guess.

When you try it, please post a report. I'm anxious to hear how you do.
