Hello
am a new diver, just got my open water 1 about a couple of months back

anyway, im currently in my final year in university and will be starting my thesis real soon. And as the thread topic suggests, im very keen on studying elasmobranches since they're in abundance here in borneo. Very little is known abt them too :(

Would really love any suggestions on what specifically could i study on this. I've had thoughts about comparing morphological differences of the mouth structure of certain rays and skates. But since my lecturer said that it would be a PhD level research, it would be a difficult topic for me due to the time and resource constraint.

Even had a couple of australians that discovered a new species off sarawak too :D
any help and leads would be greatly appreciated!

I think it would be interesting to get a few rays off fishermen who don't want them and take em back to the lab to find out what kinds of parasites are living on and in them.
