Nim, the 7 footer works better for scooter diving than the shorter
hoses, and of course it works better for everything else as well. If
you run a shorter hose, it will tug at your mouth when scootering, so
I just use the 7 on everything. Our original OW rig had a 40 inch
hose and came up from the right without going around the neck, but it
proved to be a pain in the *** when scootering, so we just went to
the same hose as on doubles. While you should not be doing anything
that requires a 7 foot hose on open water gear, the 7 is a lot more
versatile and the concept of continuity between gear setups is a
plus.

Well, it's about time.

Reckon he'll have to nix that pic of his OW rig with the 40" hose.

"El Guapo"

gotta love it

do it easy:
Shouldn't it be a little longer than 7' to account for the fact that the single vavle is a little farther away? :D

Why? It's not like anybody diving single tanks are going to be doing single file exits from an overhead environment.

Yea, that would NEVER happen.

Well if the 7' hose on doubles fits you just right, then it will be a little short on a single tank.

Now quit feeding the trolls! :)

That 4" isn't going to make a whit of difference in OW situations.

Hmm wasn't meant that way but in hindsight it was probably one of my best trolls ever and I wasn't even trying.
