Petra. You got me remembering. I hope one day in Petra will be enough for you. Magnificent place. I loved all of Jordan but didn't make it diving in Aqaba. Please, upon your return do a trip report for us. I always believed I would return to Jordan and if/when I do, will be wanting to arrive prepared to dive.thanks

Thanks Nasser. I've already got a spot reserved with Aqaba Divers but if I manage to squeeze in another dive I'll check out Sinai Divers. Really looking forward to getting back in the water. Spending the night in Aqaba. Any recommendation on night life? Not really into night clubs but can always go for a place to chill or live music.

Aqaba is not really known for it's nightlife, but there are a couple of nice bars. Go to the Gateway complex and check out Rover's Return, it's a typical Irish pub with good food and it can get quite busy sometimes. You will tend to find quite a few English and European expats as well as tourists frequenting the place. Also in the Gateway complex is Friends which is a pretty chilled out more mellow bar atmosphere. Of course there are bars and pubs in the major hotels like the Intercon, Movenpick, etc.. BTW if you want to enjoy some tasty seafood there's a very good local place called Floka that serves tasty Middle Eastern appetizers (mezza) and great seafood dishes.

cheers,
Nasser
