We just returned from a 10-day stay at Ambergris Caye, Belize. They're in the process of completing maintenance on several of their boats, but the boats were adequate to get us out to the dive sites just beyond the breakers on the reef. Divemasters were top-notch professionals who had a penchant for finding animal life for which I'd expressed an interest; "Shorty" was particularly talented. We saw reef sharks and nurse sharks on every dive, sometimes remarkably close, and there were plenty of Green Moray Eels. Amigos Del Mar's dive operation chums the waters near the dive sites every day. I believe it's intended to provide entertainment for snorkelers at Shark Alley; for divers it brings dozens of sharks to each dive. Ecologic was very reliable in picking us up from our dock at Captain Morgan's Retreat each morning. Currently they only go to the local dive sites; they refer the Blue Hole and Turneff Atoll dives to Amigos Del Mar. Belize really just opened up again on 1 June, so many aspects of the service industry are going through some growing pains--especially with wait times at some of the restaurants.
