Recently I was on a dive boat with an old bauer compressor.
I liked to look it (and was surprise that the belt and the wheels are running open without protection while children are arround (snorkelers) and the boat is shaking with the waves.....
So I come into speaking with the Instructor who filled the tanks and he told me proudly that the first stage is doing 100 bar, the second makes it 180 and after the third it is 200-220.
I told him that sounds strange to me but he told he is 100 % sure (and a bit angry that I have doubts).
Still having doubts I found an older book telling as example: First stage 6 bar, second 45, third 200.
That sounds a lot more possible.
Can anyone put a light on that?
Thanks
Michael
