So Alice and I are leaving on vacation on Saturday afternoon. Headed to NJ to visit her mother for a few days. We'll be diving out of Manaquan Inlet on the 'Sea Lion,' Captain Al P on Monday. We dove with him last year on the Mohawk and I doubt I'll ever forget the look on his mates face when we came up with a couple of bottles, some coal and a piece of Delft china. "Holy Crap, where did you find THAT!!!!" Good guys and a good time, we're going back for more and putting ourselves in his capable hands. Then down to Richmond for a day or so with friends.

We need to be in Morehead City, NC at 6am (Good God, you're joking, right?) on Thursday for a trip with Olympic Divers. (They say they decide where they are going when they cast off the lines. Ok with me. The girl said keep the EANX 30 or less and you will be ok wherever we end up. OK, for 80 degree water and 100 foot vis I'll get up at 5-by God-30. I lived in Morehead City from 1980-82, wasn't certified and never once snorkled. Was in the USCG and was way more interested in hunting the wildlife in the bars of Beaufort than diving. At the time, I probably figured I spent enough of my time on boats as it was, didn't need to do it on my days off. Beer, babes and surfing were our only intrests. Damned fools.)

I figured I'd head up towards Deleware Thursday evening, I've never been there. Any suggestions on places to go, things to do in that DelMarVa area? Doesn't need to involve diving. Our other chief intrest is wine, can anyone recommend any good vineyards in the area?

I'm thinking we may try to hook up with the crew from SSD's at Dutch Springs on Saturday, what the hell, we have to sort of drive by there anyways, may as well stop and at least dive there once. How often do you get to dive in a helcopter? Any other sugestions on MUST SEE places in the mid Atlantic states?

You're bringing back old memories. I spent a ton of time (60's)in the Carolina's as a Marine. I second your comments, I wish I'd been diving back then
