Looking for recomendations on the easiest beach dive north of Santa Monica, and south of Trancus. My prioritie is an easy entry.

corral beach, malibu is fairly easy. dive site info on www.sandeaters.org. easy walk from car, sandy entry. point dume submarine canyon also has fairly easy entry, if you want a deep dive. surf is usually less at corral beach though.

all of malibu is exposed to south swell, call 310-457-9701. you want to dive when they say "surf at malibu (or surfrider) is 1ft or less". 1-2ft is also diveable. 2-3ft is pushing it. 3-4ft is PHD level-divers only, he he

most of malibu has rocky, difficult entry

Here's a second for Corral beach. When I dove it, there were maybe 1-2 foot waves for 20-30 yards. Just a quick dash and you're through it. Primarily sandy bottom from what I saw.

Escondido creek is an easy one (but it's shallow so the vis can get pretty stirred up)
