Earthquake!

We just had a good little shake 5.7 Chino Hills is the first reports.

My lamps are broken, all drawers open.

vases on floor, etc.

I did not like that.

Elevator broken, no phone service. Old Town Pasadena.

People are in the street, I am on the fourth floor, kinda sucks if you ask me. Gee---my underground parking garage will never seem as nice, especially that stupid lift for the third car. I'm done with that.

We were at a stop sign and the car was jumping a little like he was pumping the brake. So I asked him if we were going or not, he looked at me and said he was not doing it. On our way back to work we noticed that at every building everyone was outside. Then we heard about the quake. (IN-N-OUT in Irvine)

I was in Old Towne Pasadena during the Whittier Quake as they were building those structures. THAT was a mess! Walls falling down, windows blown out. This one seemed to be fairly mild here in Baldwin Park. Just rolling, no jolting like previous ones (Northridge and Whittier). I've been here too long. Anything under a 6 is just not that alarming.

I felt it at my office in Monrovia. It's my first earthquake since I've lived in socal (second in my life). Nothing major on my end....all the power, lights, phones, etc are still working, and nothing came crashing down.

Being a noob to earthquakes, I thought it was kind of cool :D I know, I know, I'm a :dork2:

I felt the earthquake in San Diego. At the time, I was sitting down on a couch on the 2nd floor of an apartment building. The structure did shake quite a bit, but no falling items off shelves. As you've already pointed out, the epicenter was quite a distance away. Not so much rolling as other quakes I've experienced. Several short, smaller aftershocks, too. Hope no one is hurt and there isn't much damage in the LA area...

I was at a Shell carwash, about to enter the carwash until I felt the jolt. I thought it was the ground beneath me was moving me toward the carwash, I was like What the Heck! I ain't exactly ready! Then I saw the cashier lady run out kinda scared, I turned off my car and put it in Park then went to calm her down and saw the phone lines shaking and the buildings as well. AWESOME!! This is my 3rd time experiencing earthquakes.

My office is also in Monrovia, 2nd story wood frame building - my secretary is still freaked out. No damage here or at my home.

Those old building do shake and the higher you are, the more dramatic it is. I hope you are OK.
