If you had no pain, it is HIGHLY unlikely you had external otitis. It is a very painful condition.

Could it have been water trapped behind ear wax, like you said before?

Well, I dove with it on Sunday and my ear was fine. The day before it was hurting quite bad though. So I went to the doctor today and he thinks that I might just have swimmers ear. But he is not completely sure. So I am going to a ENT doctor tomorrow so he will check me out and I will report back.
