Diving in water 82 degrees and up have always been easy on my ears. But quarry diving, 80 degrees and below always make it hard to equalize and cause a day or two of pain. 2 weeks ago I was diving in 77 degree water, no hood, first dive perfect. Second dive at fifteen feet, I couldnt equalize, and during accent , my ears squeeked, but never cleared. Two days later, i went to the doctor. He gave me a steroid shot and said my eustation tube was probably injured and would be ok in a day or two. Two days later i was at the ear specialist and he said that he could see no problem at all. He said give it a week or so and it would clear itself. He was right. 2 weeks later, my ear finally cleared.

So my question is, has anybody else had any problen like this, and what about the docs earplugs for further diving??
