I went diving about 4 weeks ago for a week, on the last day I got the flu. After I recovered from the flu, I had a humming sound in my left ear. During the last dive I had slight trouble equalizing but I didn't have any pain or blood from my ear. In the last 3 weeks I have consulted three ENT doctors all which came up with pretty much nothing. Can anybody shed some light to my problem? The humming is low pitched and comes and goes from time to time, kinda sounds like there is water in my ear.

Well there are many possibilities but what it sounds like might be a case of middle-ear barotrauma. Physical examination may yeild a slight dull/reddedning inside the ear and usuall the association of pressure in the ear, follow'd by symptoms similair to tinnitus due to the stimulation of the nerves in the ear.. causing a humin/ringing. You may want to do a search on info on the web about it, all the "online MD" type sites should have some decent info. Maybe that can help you narrow down what you may be experience... just some advice and my .02 c. Hope it helps.
