There is an ear dryer product out that I'm interested in getting some feedback on. Anybody own/use this thing? Results? website is dryear.net

Want the real scoop on this item before I consider buying one...thanks.

I have an ear dryer and I love it. The dryer is timed for three minutes in each ear. The longer the device runs the warmer the air gets. It really feels good after a dive in say Vortex Spring where it warms the ear canal as well as drying it. I still recommend a few drops of solution though, to keep the ph of the canal a little acid.

The device is well worth the cost.

I own one. When you are playing with it in your home you feel like an idiot for buying it - the air is not hot, and it barely blows. But then I used it on a dive trip and it worked! You may have to go through more than one of the 3 minute cycles, but for me it worked when nothing else did.

Ear Beer works just fine for me... Not to keen on anything blowing water in...

As a sufferer of recurrent external ear infections, I have been waiting to see if anyone I know has used this. Glad someone started this thread. I've got another one of those blasted infections now (both ears). Yes, I use the swimmer's ear drops.

i'm going to wait until the end of the week to see what other responses we get. i'm personally going to try the isopropyl alcohol/hydrogen peroxide/white vinegar combo for the next couple of days and see what happens. as far as infections, i still get them once in awhile but i use neomycin anti-biotic ear drops to clear it up, as opposed to full-on anti-biotic pills. not a big fan of anti-biotics pills as they kill all the good bacteria the body needs as well. i'm going to look for the ear dryer company at the scuba show here on saturday as well, and see what kind of "show" price i can get.

I was constantly getting ear infections from diving, so I bought one. I still got an ear infection. I seem to have stopped getting the infections (knock on wood), so perhaps my immune system solved the problem, but I would not recommend the ear dryer.

I got one for my wife last month. She has chronic problems with both ears. She now uses it diligently after each shower and, of course, after diving, with the addition of drops. It has helped quite a bit. I even use it, even though I tend not to have problems unless I'm doing several days of repetitive diving.

I would definitely recommend it.
