Will this have any effect on my confined water dives if it doesn't go away? Pool is only about 12-feet deep.

Yup, get it checked by a :doctor: doctor.
It is possible that it would be a real problem, even in just 12 feet. And be sure to get the doctor to sign off on diving with it if you are cleared to go ahead and dive. Get the form from your instructor.
