Has anyone applied for the e-VoA recently?

I applied one a couple days ago for my trip next month, got it approved with a register number and status of “waiting payment” without a page for entering my credit card info to pay the Rp.500,000,- fee. It just ended there.

I thought I missed the payment section during entrering required data and reapplied for it again yesterday and ended up with 2 approved e-VoA. Didn’t want to define insanity by repeating the procedure for the 3rd time.

I may just bite the bullet and get in the VoA line when I get there in February 18. I hope the line is short enough at 10 AM.

Thanks for letting me know. I let one of my dive buddies does it and let’s see what he comes out with.

I’ll be leading a group of 7 from USA to Raja Ampat on Blue Manta. We booked it in 2020 for Feb 2022 trip, due to Covid we rescheduled it to Feb 2024. So it’s been a 4 years of waiting. Excited!

I used my laptop to enter the info this time (instead of my iPhone) and it works. The payment button was appeared at the bottom of the laptop screen (not in iPhone screen for some reason).

I will be landing in Jakarta next week (Monday the 22nd) and I am wondering what is the latest situation with eVOA etc.

Does it really make sense, compared to the traditional way? Do I have enough time to get it approved until next Monday?

Anything else that might have changed since last time I was there (December 2022)? Is the electronic customs form (required back then) still needed?

Thanks a lot!

I think it does,

I travelled April/May and used the eVOA, approval was almost instant once payment made and I could completely skip the "pay for VOA" que once landed.
Just present the eVOA to immigration.
The E-Customs form is still required and you'll have to show the QR code provided to Customs.

I just flew through Jakarta in June. If you get an e-VOA as @BigJeff mentioned it allows you to skip the "pay for VOA" line. when I went through the line was not that long so you might be saving your self 10-15min. But it is pretty nice to already have your VOA ready to go.

I will be flying back into Indonesia next week and just applied for another eVOA and got it within 1 business day. They are pretty quick.

For me the eVOA is much better also because I usually stay more than 30days and with the new eVOA you can just extended it with out having to go for finger print photo like it was befor. If you get the traditional pay VOA stamp then you still need to do the traditional visa extension with the finger print and photo immigration office visit.

eVOA is quick and easy to obtain. I went through CGK in late March and it was uncrowded (unlike Bali). As such having eVOA may not have saved me much time but it’s so easy one might as well have it. The in line extension feature is another plus.

Ok, it was issued within seconds of payment!!
The only somewhat difficult part was getting a selfie and cropping/framing it to the required specs.
Also, in my case, passport's date of issue was not asked but was automatically filled in (wrongly) as today's date. Had to spot this and correct it at last step (verification).

Yeahhh... One line less. Although the real delay is usually the luggage carousel that takes ages....
