OK, I appreciate the advice. I do want a handle for my current system does S&S make one? Thanks again.

With that system the arm is the 'handle". If you want a pistol grip or one of those round, padded handles you will need a new tray and grip. If you get the standard ones ( not IDAS) that OO sells they will work fine with your other gear.

OK thanks, good to know. Maybe best to just leave what I have.

Not looking to start a flame war here so please take the following as information. We are a Sea & Sea dealer and very familiar with these products. First the S&S tray is going to be a little small for the housing especially if one wears heavy gloves. Actually it is the Sea & Sea strobe balls that are not compatible with other systems and typically do not work well with other arms and clamps. While S&S makes many great products we are not a big fans of the S&S clamps or arms in general. But again if that is what ones budget can afford no worries.

I currently use a mix of I-DAS, Ultralight and Stix arms and (clamps) and they are totally interchangeable. So once again I-DAS are excellent products interchangeable with all major brands. If you use the Stix floats you just need to make sure they have the right "core" to fit your strobe arm.

There is a ADF to M67 adapter that can be used with Inon AD lenses.

Can you link me to the adapter and will that work as good as a regular 67mm lens?

I have IDAS and S&S balls and clamps. The IDAS are significantly smaller than the S&S........
The IDAS ball has the purple o ring......

NM I found it. Only $10 wow why so cheap? :) OK not too get too complicated. But I recently bought an Ocean atom 2.0 and transmitter for $350 from another scuba shop and on the first dive it flooded :( now they will give me credit or a new computer. The turn around to get a new one from Oceanic will not be in time enough for my trip to Komodo this feb so I would get it back and it would sit in my closet till next year. However they do carry Sea & Sea products. Would it be worth it to add a second Ys-01 strobe to the setup listed above(stock dome port, 165lens, 14-44mm)? Then I would need all new arms and try for two strobes and another snyc cable....

FYI, I have been a long time member of Scubaboard and just recently started working at Optical Ocean Sales. I and others tread a fine line here. I do not want to put links to our products or shop etc...as I would not want other very helpful and knowledgable shop owners to do. Personally I am just trying to give some advice based on hands on experience.

cardog you are correct S&S don't typically work well with other strobe arms. I-DAS, Ultralight, Stix, TLC all work well together.

I had the S&S tray and arm shown here with a P&S setup. It was ok, but I never really liked positioning the strobe underwater with it.
I now have an epl2 in the oly housing with the Ocean optical tray/handle/arm setup with a D2000. I like it much better.
But, I would imagine you could get the S&S to work. However, the S&S only has provision for a single mount point for the housing. My epl2 has 2 mount points. That is a huge advantage. My S&S would twist all the time due to the single mounting point. Much prefer the OO tray.
