Think I've finally culled all I'm going to get from my trip to Dominica with the (finally housed!) E-330. Nothing pro quality, and no candle on Jlyle's pics, but more than a few I was pretty happy with for a first time. Camera and TTL in the housing all worked fine near as I could tell...but I could definitely tell for wider angle shots I wish I'd just gone for broke with twin DS125s instead of the used DS50s...but money talked. Now that I've got some results I can try and work on the wife to 'let' me upgrade (translation: not punish me as much when I do it anyway! ;) )

Follow the Dominica 2008 set in the Flickr link in my sig if you would like to see.

Nice. You should post a few in your posting, to get a little more reaction. I am usually to lazy to follow the links

Think I'll spend some money on more diving, first. One trip wasn't enough, and I got much better at lighting as I progressed.

But upgrading is definitely on the list. :)

Beautiful photos - I am very impressed. The sealife looks amazing there, and those caves were astounding!! Very nice! I would be really interested to hear more detail about your trip, where you went, what you did, etc.

Very nice, What kind of lens did you use. I have E-300, but I don't have the budget to take it underwater yet.

*** Nevermind I just saw your signature ***

Thanks for all the comments.

Jenazah: you may already have missed the boat on taking the E300 down, unless you can find a housing on ebay. Ikelite has already discontinued theirs, and I'm willing to bet Olympus (did they have one for the E300?) will have too, if they just dropped the 410 housing.

Really wish I could have had the 7-14 lens, would have taken it down on the deeper dives like La Bym (The Abyss) wall, get that extra 'oomph' out of the wide angle shots if I could have. But even if I had the extra $1500, I probably would've opted for the twin DS125s before that lens, anyway. :)
