DYI Manometer Reading?

Okay, I did the search, read the threads, built a great water U-manometer, 1/4 clear tubing, brass barb in old mouthpiece, mounted to board with a ruler, total of 8$ and 15 minutes of time. But still don't understand the readings. All my regs are about 3/4 inch cracking pressure, but that's measured on the vacuum(one) side only. Do you have to double that to have the real cracking pressure or is 3/4 inch all there is?

Yes, just as D_B says. You are measuring the distance between the + and -
1.5 is not terrible but not that good either. If they were serviced by a shop the tech left them that way in order to avoid free flow.

Before you make any adjustments to the second stages, be sure the IP is correct (usually 135 +/- 10 psi
