Hello everybody.
Having flooded, after 20 years my nikonos V and my 15mm/2.8 UW wide angle lens, and since the repair expenses are exorbitant, I am thinking going Digital.
I am looking buying S&SDX-1G complete with Wide Angle and Strobe.
I was advised that the current strobes, particularly the YS-110 which I was looking into, are not synchronized due to the different protocols on the camera and strobe.
"They do not work together, and cannot be guaranteed that the flash will fire each time it is triggered. A new version coming out has different protocols and should fire each time"
A) Is this a correct statement?
B) Anybody knows when the new corrected strobe is expected to come out?
c) Is the strobe NIKONOS SB-105 bracket and cable, that I have from my previous flooded set compatible with Sea&Sea DX-1G camera and housing and TTL synchronized function?
I understand that the DX-1G has two 5 pin sockets for strobe cables and the Nikonos SB-105 has also 5 pin. Has anybody tried successfully this combination?
Any comments welcome.
