dvd v. up-convert

You were right, I've got a new DVD player with up-convertion and played my home made U/W DVDs, they look "different" (not to say bad), the colors look little bit brighter, but the noise will make the picture less sharp. Again you were right, the DVD movies that I have look a lot better when played up-converted.
 
I've played back normal rental DVD's on my PC connected to both my 1080i TV and my 1920x1440 display and both look better than playing back in 480p/i. Is it better than footage shot in 1080i? HAHA no. Anyone who says it is, needs to open their good eye.

Gday Lars, went and had a look at your site...you have a nice family there.

I have been upconverting min DV to HDV and even though it looks okay, that too is not as good as real HDV.
