This is probably one of the more noobish questions you experts will see, but I'm asking anyway. :)

I've got a couple of very nice DVDs made by our instructor last year. I'd very much like to be able to post segments on youtube, but I'm not sure how. Can anybody recommend a decent program to convert the DVD files to .mpeg and then edit them?

I've ripped non-commercial, non-copy protected DVDs using Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 which you can probably find used on E-Bay since it is an older version.
