There is a 10 feet difference between my Duo and my aeris Ai computer
i was at 183 feet wich was the good depth and my duo was at 193 .

i've read in the manual that you cannot put the computer in a air tight
container for traveling in an airplane ... well this is exacly what i did so
what can i do now ... can i just reset the computer or i have to send it back to you
what are the cost related to that kind of problem ...

thanks

NOt positive but I think the "don't put it in an airtight container on a plane" thing is more for N2 tracking purposes, not a calibration issue. If the pressure stayed constant and the computer did not know it was in flight, it would have no impact on calibration.

A 10 ft difference at 183 ft is a 5.5% difference. That may however be split between two computers at opposite ends of the calibration range, or one may be right and the other may be wrong. Unless you are at a known depth, or haver access to a calibrated test chamber, it is hard to tell which is which.

Normally most dive computers are accurate to within plus or minue 1% to 2%, so the odds are one of them is off a bit too much.

Thanks ... we had a total of 5 computers and only my Duo was off .

Hi Jf,

Fresh water calibration is 3% lower than Sea water calibration. To set for fresh or salt water use press Mode until "Dive" is displayed and flashing. Press select until "fresh" or "sea" is flashing. Then press Set to switch between fresh and salt. Press and hold mode for 2 seconds to return to time mode.

The acceptable depth accuracy is +/- 2 feet at o.5 meters. If you did put it in an airtight box on an airplane you may have damaged the transducer.
