I finally got my GoPro Hero2 and have been using it a lot above water. I don't have a wet/drysuit and it's still too cold to be swimming around here in western WA (well puget sound is almost always too cold for any extended swimming without a suit). But I wanted to check out the underwater capabilities witht the BlurFix and the snorkeling light filter. This probably isn't the optimum setup for where I filmed (probably about 25-50ft deep in greener water) and the bottom was a little cloudy at times with the crab moving around but I am pretty impressed with the video quality. Here's a link to the video. I sped a lot of it up and added some music using Windows Movie Maker to make it a little more interesting.

Cool video and the blur fix seems to be working well. Really well edited with a good choice of music. Those crabs get after it!

Cool video. The GoPro's with some added components really capture some great video. I hope you crab there during season.

Thanks for sharing. :cool3:

Cool video! That was crazy! Those crabs don't waste any time and looks like they get pretty aggressive too! Are those the ones you have to take off one claw and then release during crab season?

I usually crab at a different beach during crabbing season but after seeing how many are down there I may be heading back there on opening day :) You don't have to take one claw off them and put them back but some people prefer to do that with the idea being their claw will grow back over time and they will keep addig to the population. They just have to be males with shells 6 and 1/4 inches accross or wider. They are definitely the crab to eat around here. We have large red rock crab as well but their shells are so thick that it's a pain to clean them.
