Resurrecting an old thread - You learn something new every day!
I have a Zeagle Ranger BCD. I've put over 100 dives on it. Of course, I know about the purge valve in the bladder (go upside down, pull the string, dump the air) and I know about the purge release on the corrugated hose handle (go right-side up, put up your left hand, push the button, purge the air) but I never knew about the purge valve in the rig where the corrugated hose connects to the bladder.
And of course the other day while cleaning my Zeagle Ranger after several dive trips to Coz, Roatan and Belize I was pulling a bit on the corrugated hose and noticed the sound of air escaping from the bladder where the hose mounts to the bladder. And I freaked, thinking "OMG, my wonderful Zeagle Ranger is broken!!".
I hope I'm right. Because if I am, I now know of yet another way to purge air from my BCD. Very cool. In fact, it appears that Zeagle calls this a "Remote Exhaust" valve (see Scott's post). And here is the URL for the Zeagle BCD User Manual - very informative!

Oh well. It's time for an annual on the BCD anyway.

There's a pin in the middle of the inflator opening that the small loop seen ^ hooks onto. And it's trapped on the hose end by the cable ties. If you ever remove the inflator it sometimes falls out and rolls on the ground under the bench and takes 10mins. to find so don't do that...lol
So you're not actually pulling on the corrugated hose itself but rather a braided cable of the correct length to keep from stressing the hose. They sell several different cable lengths to match your corrugated hose length as needed - I think one is for the octo-inflator and the other the standard hose.
I did change to a BX inflator which makes flushing the BC a lot easier, if yours is newer it probably already has one. Zoom in on the top right of this image:
Bx Power Inflator and you can barely see the hole the pin^ fits in.

Ah, there you go. My Zeagle Ranger does not have this Bx power inflator. I just might switch mine to one. Easier flushing/purging is always a good thing.
