TL;DR: where can I buy a coarse-thread inflator elbow nut and dump valve?

On a dive trip last year the threaded bungs on my Halcyon Pioneer wing failed spectacularly on a dive in Egypt (I'm living here for now). Both just crumbled apart... (same thing happened with my evolve wing a few months later - I'm blaming being in shipment for for over a year as the proximate cause...)

I took the wing to a local shop that told me they have a repair facility to properly replace the threaded bungs, and they appear to have done a great job with a minor issue: the threads are coarse thread now. I have several wings (halcyon, hollis, and dive rite), and all have the same fine threads. It doesn't bother me to have the dump valve be different than my other wings, but I can't figure out where/how to order a coarse thread inflator nut and dump valve. Is this a common thread used by a different brand? has the industry moved and all my wings are now old? How do I get the correct parts to put my favorite single tank wing back into regular rotation?

I tried (not hard enough tho) to find course threaded ones with no luck; but why isn’t it an option to replace both port and nut with the fine ones that are far more available?
Ofcourse it would be better to handle sand intrusion from jamming the threads, and the diameters would have to match

I see you’re based in Dahab, are you doing this service via Sameh’s shop at lighthouse?
Maybe you can ask if they have the thin ones to see if they’d fit

Because the hole is too big and they're glued in mate

so that means new bladder then, makes sense

Dude!

Halcyon Pioneer wing

There is no bladder in these, the outside is also the inside and the male threaded things

I took the wing to a local shop that told me they have a repair facility to properly replace the threaded bungs, and they appear to have done a great job

are glued or welded or fused or rf welded in which some can repair with the right equipment, or glue???

with a minor issue: the threads are coarse thread now.

and then install the right stuff from my links above or from whichever of my tubs of diving things

A good one if you have a sacrificial bc with glued in valves, you cut it out and glue fabric to fabric

Like my fork in the road towards transhumanism with no option but to always head in the right direction

Any Halcyon dealer should stock those parts. The change happened in 2019.

Halcyon - OVER PRESSURE VALVE (OPV) WITH GASKET

Halcyon replace OPV for all Halcyon wings.

Please make sure to select the correct Halycon OPV based on the date of manufacture of your wing. The standard cord is a thinner material and is what comes stock on all Halcyon wings.

Older Halcyon wings (pre 2019) require the fine threaded OPV, while newer (2019 to date) require coarse threaded OPV.

The 3MM cord is a little thicker and is sometimes preferred by divers using dry gloves or thicker gloves.

If you have any questions on Halycon products just reach out
