i know the whole thing about not tech diving without proper certification, traing, but want to use cave line for other things in my gear, tying down my gauge and other general things, but



Is cave line mason line?

If its nylon it would be good to use.
 
I don't cave but I use the BRAIDED mason line for a lot of things. What I have is a little heavier than the line on my reel.
 
If you go to Lowes or whatever building supply they have twisted line in the place that has all the ropes and stuff. If you go to the concrete section where the trowels and stuff are you will find the braided masonary line. The only color I have found is yellow. Stock number 33814. It comes in 500 ft spools.
