This may sound like a dumb question but does DUI make different sizes of their soft boots (the ones used with the rock boots) and what would they be.

also whats up with the shape, I just bought a new drysuit, TLS350 and the soft boots have a weird shape to them, the toe is pointy and the heel has sort of a big bulge to them, no foot i know of is shaped like that. Are they too big? Cause even if my foot did strech them out there would still be the pointy toe and heel.

and a pic with your foot in them maybe .

they are shaped this way and made big so that you can get the VERY THICK polor dui socks in them for very cold diving, well even cold water like monterey ,temps of 60 on down 50-40-30-, ahh ya like we have here i have the same suit, DUI TLS350-Z, you can put just about any thickness of socks in there to keep you warm, and then still fit your rock boots nicly!!!

They definitely come in different sizes (thank gawd!). I tried a demo sock-size and now have 'my' size. Even with 'correct' size sock, I have the heel and tippytoe folds. Especially the heel-fold is aggravating against fin straps. They say one is not supposed to be walking around a lot with Rockboots on - I can understand why... If not the whole sock, the folds are surely going to be eaten away if walking about...

I am curious to know what is the logic of the shape. Is it just easy to manufacture that way? I can't see why a rounder (more foot-like) shape could not accomodate thicker socks too? One is supposed to dive with same socks in most of the temps anyway, just add to absolute extremes - no? I can't see why this shape would fit into the boot better than more 'socky' shape.

I have to say though that during dives, after initial 'crowdy feeling' (I got snug-fitting boots), the folds aren't a problem.
